This Cottage Cheese and Potato Perogy Filling recipe goes great with my Nana’s Perogy Dough recipe!

Cottage Cheese and Potato Perogy Filling

Cottage Cheese and Potato Perogy Filling

Ingredients

500 g pressed cottage cheese
3 large russet potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 tablespoons butter
1 onion, chopped fine
½ teaspoon salt
1 egg

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with cold water, add potatoes, and bring to a boil; cook potatoes until fork tender. Drain and mash.
  2. Heat a small pan over medium heat. Add butter and onions. Cook until onion has softened.
  3. Place cottage cheese in a large bowl. Using a fork, press cottage to a fine crumb. Add potatoes, onion, salt and egg; mix well.
