  1. Place eggs in a single layer in a pot.
  2. Gently cover eggs by 1 inch with cold water.
  3. Place pot over high heat, and bring to a boil.
  4. As soon as the water boils, remove the pot from the heat and cover.
  5. Set a timer - 9 minutes for just cooked yolks, 15 minutes for well-done yolks.
  6. When the timer buzzes, quickly plunge the eggs into ice-cold water until they’ve completely cooled. This will stop them from cooking any further.
