Radishes

PickFirm radishes with bright green and healthy tops.
StoreĀ Cut off the green tops.Ā  Store radishes and green tops in an open plastic or perforated bag in the fridge for 1 to 2 weeks.
PrepareRinse well under cold water and trim off both ends of the radish. Ā 

Rapini

Ā 
PickChoose rapini with tight green buds and healthy-looking leaves.
StoreĀ Store in an open or perforated bag in the fridge for up to 3 days.
PrepareTrim off stem ends and wilted leaves. Rinse under cold water.

 

Rhubarb

Ā 
PickStalks that are crisp, firm, and brightly coloured.Ā  Redish-pink stalks are sweeter than green ones.
StoreĀ Store in an open or perforated bag in the fridge for up to 1 week.
PrepareTrim leaves and discard.Ā  Rinse well under cold water.Ā  If fiberous, peel with a vegetable peeler to remove tough strings.
