Spaghetti Squash

Pick Choose squash that is firm, smooth, and heavy for its size.  
Store  Store unbagged in a cool, dark, and dry place with good ventilation.
Prepare Rinse under cold water.  Leave whole or cut in half and scoop out the seeds.


Pick Crisp, tender, and green leaves with firm stems.
Store  Plunge spinach into cold water, drain, and pat dry.  Wrap in paper towel and store the fridge for up to 3 days.
Prepare Leave whole or slice. Remove any tough stems.



Pick Ripe strawberries will smell sweet.  Choose strawberries that are glossy, red, and plump, with bright green tops. 
Store  Store berries in their container for up to 2 days.  Best to use them right away.
Prepare Cut off green tops and discard. Gently rinse strawberries under cold water and pat dry. 


Sweet Potatoes

Pick Firm, well-shaped sweet potatoes (they’ll be easier to peel).
Store  Store, unwrapped, in a cool, dark, and dry place for up to 2 weeks.
Prepare Rinse well under cold water.  Remove all dark spots.  Peel or leave unpeeled.
