Happy 2014!

I’m back!  Hope everyone had a great time over the holidays.  Christmas was a blast, even with the power out (did you guys hear about the ice storm that hit Toronto? It knocked out the power to a huge chunk of the city), I ate lots of bacon sandwiches and froze my butt off at the Winter Classic over New Years – next year I am totally going somewhere warm :).

I decided to take an extra week off after the holidays to reflect on 2013 and to come up with a plan for 2014!  Not always, but sometimes I like to know where I’m going. This year, there will be more recipes (basic and easy), cooking advice to make cooking more enjoyable, and more conversations – I want to know what gets your culinary juices flowing!

Thanks again for being such awesome supporters and for being so encouraging!  I love and read every message you send.

    What’s Cookin’?
    Great to Hear you had a wonderful holiday season!
    It is always good to take some time and reflect. Building on what you have learned from the previous season is a good thing!
    I look forward to utilizing some of your fun recipes!
    I have accepted an assignment with a B&I food contract management firm. I will be the Exec Chef / Gm for a company of about 1500 employees! A lot of cracked eggs eh! Wish me luck!

    We are having a very mild winter for which we are thankful as we are not able to shovel like we used to!
    Good for you for being at the Classic! I expect you will be at the Super Bowl too.
    We have not been too adventuresome in cooking lately-a lull after the holidays. Love Kay
